Any Korean BBQ fans out there??

I'm talking specifically about duk bo sam, a new style of Korean BBQ featuring rice wrappers to eat with the meat. It's tha bomb!!

My favorite place to go in Southern California is Shik Do Rak in Garden Grove. I like it better than the one in LA because: 1. The parking is better and 2. They have mu (thinly sliced pickled radish -- a non-negotiable when it comes to duk bo sam, IMO).

The service is good and, because you cook at your table, quite prompt.

I would recommend ordering one of the combos; the menu lists how many people each combo is supposed to feed. If you're not a die hard sam gyupsal (pork belly) eater, I'd recommend that you ask for all chadolbaegi (thinly sliced beef) instead.

The meal comes with your typical Korean banchan (side dishes) such as kimchi (spicy pickled cabbage), kongnamul (marinated bean sprouts), oi (Korean pickles), etc.; salad for your wraps; salted sesame oil and spicy sauce for dipping; dwaenjang jigae (bean paste soup); and nuronji bap (hardened rice in water. SUPER-good, trust me) at the end. SO GOOD!!

If you live in SoCali, I highly recommend that you give Shik Do Rak a try!
